The Mongols were a fierce and powerful force of the early Middle Ages.
In the 1100's-1300's, the Mongolian race was a powerful and formidable army of the Middle Ages. They spread like disease, and conquered much of Europe and Asia with ease. Their empire stretched from East Asia almost to Western Europe, including Russia. Their empire finally began to decline after the Yuan Dynasty was destroyed from internal collapses and strong invading forces.
One of the most recognizable strategies of the Mongols happened to be their use of a somewhat more modern technology: biological warfare. When the *Bubonic Plague first struck England, the Mongols would take plague-stricken corpses and hurl them over walls with catapults; one, to provide a bit of a distraction by raining corpses on their enemies' heads, and two, by then condemning their enemy to, basically, Hell on Earth.
